Why should I provide my corporate email id?
Flatsonrent aims at providing you a platform wherein flat owners and prospective tenants can interact directly without the interference of any property agent. To restrict the access of Flatsonrent database only to flat owners and flat onlookers, you are required to provide your corporate email id. Only those users whose company domain is available in the www.flatsonrent.com list of companies can register as a member and access data.
What should I do if I don’t have a corporate email Id?
Flatsonrent is a community serving the rental flat needs of corporate professionals. Thus currently it is not possible for you to join the community. However if you are a flat owner and you wish to list your flat with flatsonrent, you can provide your flat details to us. To fill up the form, click here.
I don’t want to receive communications on my corporate email Id.
Currently it is not possible to provide an alternate email Id or Contact number for communications. Hence all the Flatsonrent.com communications can be made only on the corporate email id.
My company is not available in Flatsonrent database. How can I join the community?
If your company is not available in the flatsonrent database, you will be routed to the 'Add Company' page at the time of Sign Up. Once you have entered your company details, our team will add your company in the Flatsonrent database after necessary scrutiny. Upon addition of your company details in the flatsonrent database, you will be registered as a community member automatically and shall receive an email regarding the same.
My company does not have a website. Can I register?
Yes, it is possible to add your company and become a member of Flatsonrent.com community. However it is necessary that you have a corporate email Id of your company.
I do not want to receive email notifications further. What should I do?
In case you are receiving emails as a result of any flat listing or requirement posting you have made on Flatsonrent.com, you can simply log into your account and Close the respective Property Id or Request Id. In such a case, your property Id will be deactivated/ request will be deleted and you will not receive any further email notifications for the same. For any further assistance, mail us at support@flatsonrent.com.

What should I do if I forget my account password?
In case you forget your account password, you can retrieve a new account password. Just click on the Forgot Password link in the homepage and follow the instructions.
I have joined a new organisation. How do I change my corporate Id for communication?
You can place a request for your Email id Change in the 'Modify Corporate ID' page available in 'Edit Profile' link, once you log into your account. Once the request is made, you login Id will be modified as your new corporate Id and you will receive a confirmation mail from Flatsonrent.
How can I modify my account Password?
You can modify your account password in the 'Change Password' page available in 'Edit Profile' link, once you log into your account.

Flat Owners

How can I view the details of my Flat Listing?
After you log into your account, you can view the details of all the flats listed by you with www.flatsonrent.com in the “My Listed Properties” page. To view the complete details, just click in the property Id hyperlink for the respective flat.
Can I modify my flat listing?
Click on the modify link available in “My Listed Properties” page, once you log into your account. After required modifications, click on the submit button to update the changes.
I received an Email intimating deactivation of my listed property. Why my property was delisted?
There can be two ways in which a property can be delisted.
  • By the flat owner by selecting the delist option in “My Listed Property “page by logging into the account.
  • All properties are automatically delisted on completion of 3 weeks from the last updated date.
What does delisting of property imply?
Once a flat is delisted, the same is considered as not available for renting. Such flats will not be visible to other community members upon delisting. A property can be delisted in the following ways:
  • Manually by the property owner in “My Listed Properties” page.
  • Automatically by the system after 3 weeks from the last updated date.
My property listing has been deactivated but I still want to rent out the property.
If you do not update/ close your flat listing up to 3 weeks from the last updated date or date of listing the property, your property listing is automatically delisted and an email notification is sent to you. On delist, the flat is not visible to other community members.
However if your flat is still available for renting then you can activate your property id by selecting the activate option for the respective property in the “My Listed Properties” page in your account
What does activating a property Id mean?
If a Property id has been delisted then the same can be activated in “My Listed Properties” page. On activating the Property Id, the same is considered as available for renting and will be fetched in the search executed by other community members.
I want to view the list of members who has shown interest in my property.
Each time a member shows interest in your property, an email is sent to you containing the contact details of such member. However you can also view the list of such members in the ‘Interested Members' page. The link is available at the bottom of all pages and under Landlord Tools.
As a result of my posting on www.flatsonrent.com, I have been contacted by a property agent.

Tenants

A flat does not suit my requirement. How to exclude the same from my search next time?
If you are a prospective tenant and you feel that a certain flat is not suitable for your requirement, you can simply select 'Exclude from my list' option for that property id in the Search Results page or My Saved Property page. On excluding the property id from your list, the same shall not be fetched in your search again.
Is it possible to modify a posted requirement?
By logging into your account, you can modify your requirement by selecting the edit option in “My Posted Requirement” page for the respective request id.
My requirement has been deactivated but I still want an apartment on rent.
If you do not update/ delete your requirement posting upto 3 weeks from the last updated date, your requirement listing is automatically delisted and an email notification is sent to you. On delisting, you will not receive any more flat suggestions from www.flatsonrent.com. In such a case, you need to post another requirement to receive matching flat alerts.
What is the implication of closing a requirement?
A requirement can be closed in the "My Posted Requirement" page. Once a requirement is closed, the request Id is deleted and the member shall not receive any further flat suggestions from from www.flatsonrent.com for such a request Id. A fresh requirement needs to be posted if the member wishes to receive flat alerts again for his requirement.
What does ' My Saved Properties’ mean?
If you feel that a property can suit your requirements, you can save that property into your account for future viewing. Such properties can be viewed in the My Saved Properties’ page. Also if you execute a search, the status for such properties will be displayed as 'Saved’ in the Search Results.
What is the meaning of 'Contacted' property in My Saved Property List?
The status of a property will be displayed as 'Contacted' if you have sent an email to the property owner through flatsonrent indicating your interest in the property. The detail of such flats is saved in “My Saved Properties” list with status as contacted. Also if you execute a search, the status for such properties will be displayed as 'Already Contacted' in the Search Results.
What is the meaning of ‘Added’ status in My Saved Property List?
If you have posted your requirement for property with from www.flatsonrent.com , you will receive emails with flat suggestions from our team. The details of such flats are added to “My Saved Properties” list with the status as “Added”. In case you execute a search for flats, then the status for such flats (for which the details were already mailed to you) will be displayed as ''Added in the Search Results.
